ABOUT SUBMERSION FESTIVAL

Submersion Festival is a boutique, independently-owned and operated music and arts festival based in Hammonton, New Jersey. Hosted by Aspire Higher and The Rust Music, the festival finds itself nestled within the sprawling Paradise Lakes campground amongst the Garden State’s lush Pine Barrens for a third consecutive year. Bringing together musical communities and vetted professionals from the combined Philadelphia and New York area, we strive to provide a tightly curated weekend of selective programming, expansive visual art, cutting-edge sound systems alongside a modest cast of friends and family. 

Abundant natural shade and the amenable October weather provide a welcomed-respite from the usual summertime sizzle at contemporary events. With music spread between the lake-side Beach Stage and the cozy crucible of the Woods Stage, staggered lineups run the full gamut from early afternoon until our much-beloved sunrise at the dawn of each morning. For any and all personal needs, we offer a hand-picked selection of local food vendors, a nearly round-the-clock general store, and instructor-led wellness and yoga sessions during the quiet morning hours. Additionally, you'll find on-site the centrally-located medical team, free potable water stations, dedicated and temporary washroom facilities with weekend-long maintenance, and a full crew of production and harm-reduction staff working day and night to ensure the safety of our guests, and the success of the weekend.

We have had the pleasure of a lifetime hosting this event year after year, and we expect 2024 to be no different. We are tremendously excited to once again welcome a cast of old faces and new names, and celebrate a weekend of revelry and relaxation in the lap of some of our favorite music and visual artists on the circuit.

Respecting the earth is awesome. Pack it in; pack it out. You could win a ticket to the next event by hauling out your own trash! For every bag of trash you haul out when you leave, we will give you a raffle ticket. If you draw your raffle, you win a free ticket to our next festival in 2024! There are also prizes for 2nd and 3rd place winners. Last time, thanks to the community, we only had a few bags of trash left over at the end of the event! A fresh and immersive festival experience focusing on both visual and performance arts. After a successful and wild inaugural year, Secret Dreams Music & Arts Festival will return to its home at esteemed Legend Valley in Thornville, OH for another round.

The 2nd Annual Secret Dreams Music and Arts Festival will take place at Legend Valley on Thursday, August 17 through Saturday, August 19, 2023.

Meet the Artists:

MAX COOPER

With over 15 years of nonstop experience within the lab and behind the decks, the UK producer Max Cooper has cemented an ongoing legacy as a globally-celebrated musician and creative. With a clear need to push past the artistic bleeding edge, and a skill set to match, his discography is a palatable blend of forward-thinking electronic and 4x4 motifs, and has been widely lauded for its near universal appeal. Outside of the studio, his live performances are highly regarded as physically immersive experiences, taking listeners and revelers through the many paces and places of premier electronic music.

LUSINE

Brandishing two decades of exploratory musical expeditions, Lusine is a long-standing jack of all trades within electronic music on and off the dance floor. With over two dozen albums, EP’s, and singles available for public consumption, his discography spans everywhere from abstract trip-hop to scintillating uptempo flavors, servicing a fanbase where he’s the single common denominator, and giving him a seemingly endless well of tracks and styles to choose from for his velvety brand of live performance.

BEARD-O-BEES (JESSE MILLER OF LOTUS)

When he's not deep in session with his decades-spanning jam-rock crew in Lotus, Jesse Miller harnesses his excess creativity through his novel Beard o'Bees live solo act. In the vein of both early electronic production, and in line with a resurgence of interest in truly live performances, the Beard o'Bees phenomenon is a dance party driven by analog synthesis and creative resampling, turning this accomplished and road-tested bassist into a one-man revelry machine with few boundaries and a generous serving of dust-kicking energy.

KILOWATTS

With over 20 years of productions, performances, collaborations, and experiments under his belt, the venerable KiloWatts has staked a claim across most of the known electronic music hemisphere. Riding on the waves of a global tour de force career, he’s garnered a reputation for bucking expectations, reinventing his own wheel, and bringing the timbres of conventional instrumentation and far-out psybient design to both his massive studio catalog and his unabashedly infectious live sets.

FOXTAIL

The Utah-based producer/DJ Foxtail has earned a steadfast reputation for provocative thematics. Taking earnest advantage of melodic and harmonic interplay, his studio productions are a high watermark of syncretic electronic music, bringing numerous chilled-out disciplines under one roof. Behind the decks, Foxtail has continued to display a midas touch for narrative movement and clarity within the blends that give his DJ sets the assured quality of a professional creative.
