About RUST100
At the height of 2017, The Rust Music took on its second, present life as a music label, publication, and event promotion company. With little more than gumption and a vision, nearly 9 years of dedication turned into the extraordinary honor of hosting 99 EPs and LPs from a global variety of producers, musicians, and creatives. Now, just shy of our 9 year anniversary, we're ecstatic to unveil our 100th label release: RUST100, compiled in celebration of this milestone.
At 45 tracks, this compilation represents a plurality of our close friends, family, associates, and contemporaries that have thrown their weight in with our operation at some point through the last decade. Stretching from downtempo and trip-hop motifs to modern bass music, garage, and beyond, every composition feels like another cornerstone in the foundation of The Rust’s overall palette. The cast of characters we had the privilege to tap for this compilation is nothing short of a dream team, featuring the likes of Chalky and Seppa, Primate, Easyjack, Zonra, parkbreezy, and another 40 or so members of our extended universe of sound.
Whether you're just tuning into The Rust Music for the first time, or you've been with us since our nascent days on Brooklyn rooftops, RUST100 is the next definitive source for our collective grooves and hues in electronic music, and we can't wait for you to dive in.

About The Remixes
Succeeding the release of their Tenacious EP from 2023, the Denver-based 3420 trio have been sourcing some outside assistance in reimagining the EP’s form and flavor.
Tapping into friends new and old, they’ve had this collection of tunes thoroughly remixed into a fresh package that breathes new dynamics into an already lush blend. Channeling the skill sets of rsrch cmcls, Backleft, Hydroglyph, TheBusiness, and Wolf’d, the original overtones of jazz, dub, drum & bass, rock, and glitch hop prevail through the reinterpretations provided by this collection of friendly acts and artists.
Celebrating the second anniversary of the initial release of Tenacious, The Rust is excited to unveil the official Tenacious (Remixes) EP, continuing the aural journey that 3420 started with us two years ago.

Carrying the forward momentum of hybridized studio productions and live acts, the multi-instrumentalist trio 3420 has proven to be a powerhouse both on and off the stage. Hailing from Denver, Colorado, they're already right at home in a city and a potential fan base that's served as ground zero for live producer-driven acts across the last decade. Stirring numerous musical disciplines into one super-charged package, there's little territory they won't cover with their signature flare. With a clear dedication to pushing their formula and style wherever and whenever possible, The Rust is proud to host the release of their latest EP; Tenacious.
Spanning five distinct flavors across five unique compositions, Tenacious puts the triple brain-trust of 3420 on direct display. Ranging from hip-hop and DnB rhythms to brolic bass music motifs, the band manages to find the instrumental pocket of even their most digitally-driven productions. With organic drum timbres, six-string guitar, contemporary sound design, and the know-how to mingle it all without oversaturating any individual element, the progression of each composition slides almost effortlessly into the next. If tenacity is the goal, then Tenacious is the dialed-in journey that gets 3420 over that line, and if you've got the same appetite for novel blends and pocketed jams that we do, then you're in for a serious treat.
