About Celestial Decay

Minneapolis based musician and producer Sam Rivkin started the Conduit project in 2013 after getting into electronic music production making the beats for psychedelic hip hop duo Alien Brain Food. Ranging from heavy uptempo to lush ethereal downtempo all with a progressive rhythm influence, Conduit has a focus on creating a full spectrum of soundscapes and sound design. With his newest release, Celestial Decay, Conduit strays away from complex rhythms and the cerebral sound found in past releases, favoring a more stripped back, dancefloor-centric sound to get the juices flowing.

Celestial Decay is titled after the theory that once all the stars die in roughly 100 trillion years, all that will be left are planets and black holes in darkness; until inevitably in around a googol years, the last black hole will finally shrivel up and explode, leaving behind an empty universe where nothing else can form in absolute zero degrees.
