For our 38th installment of the Rusted Rhythms series, Rust family favorites pheel. and parkbreezy have resurrected their Featherbed set to showcase loads of original tracks and a few choice flips and remixes. Co-founders of the all.Lo label, and the brains behind the Morning Coffee project, these two producer/dj's have their fingers on the pulse of trip-hop's many varieties, creating their signature blends through an infusion head-nod fundamentals with ample servings of saturated bass weight.

Right from the jump, they zero in on the vibe of the hour, delivering smooth cuts of collaged melodies and brackish drum breaks. Their own individual styles meet at the nexus of broken beats and juiced-up sub frequencies, balancing the high of a listening experience with the pull of a physical experience. They were even gracious enough to mix in a Groovsauce track, courtesy of their live project with Thought Process. Chalky has spent the last two years voraciously picking up steam, releasing multiple collaborative albums with Slug Wife's Seppa (including the recently released "Strange Changes"), choice selections of individual works, and contributing a smashing performance for Volume 3 of the Featherbed Sessions. His signature blend of jazz, neo-soul, hip-hop, and peculiar sound design has a way of capturing the attention in a vice-grip; there are few occasions where his music won't slide right into the vibe like a skeleton key, and it's that undeniable vibe interpolation that makes Chalky's music so strikingly sensuous.

For the 36th edition of Rusted Rhythms, we're extremely excited to host an hour long set, featuring a slew of unreleased originals and collaborative tracks amidst some notable fan favorites. From his own sultry guitar lines, to Seppa's braying saxophone leads, to Alicia Kiah's violin harmonies, the journey plays out like an intentional composition from start to finish, showcasing every strength of the Chalky catalog with an equal hand.
